Mitel Navigator has been enhanced with a new application which provides "Presence Everywhere". This makes it an ideal endpoint for delivering the presence and collaboration capabilities of the Microsoft® Live Communications Server 2005 making voice communications more effective by providing at-a-glance contact availability.
Mitel Navigator provides rich, seamless integration with the Microsoft Office desktop environment, increasing user productivity and efficiency, and improving the user’s preparedness and professionalism in handling incoming calls. This is done by providing users with more flexible and intuitive ways to communicate with others, both inside and outside of the company. Mitel Navigator’s unique physical integration with a PC increases available desktop real estate and allows single field of view operation of the phone and the PC. Mitel Navigator tightly integrates the IP phone with Microsoft’s Office products, allowing users to be more efficient in their communications with customers and suppliers.
Mitel Navigator application incorporates two components: an updated task bar that enables programming and labeling of phone buttons, and a low-profile telephony toolbar that resides in the user's Microsoft Windows® task bar and provides telephony functions like incoming caller identification and click to answer.
